Baked camembert with figs & balsamic vinegar


Ingredients

1 (350 g) whole Camembert, in a wooden box (350 g)

2–-3 fresh medium-sized figs, sliced

45 ml (3 tbsp) balsamic vinegar

1 sprig of fresh rosemary

30 ml (2 tbsp) olive oil

Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 °F (117 °C).F.

Remove the plastic packaging from the Camembert and place the cheese back in its wooden box.

Score a cross-hatch pattern on top of the cheese.

Drizzle with some of the balsamic vinegar. Place the sliced figs on top to cover the cheese. Insert the rosemary sprigs. Salt and pepper to taste.

Drizzle with the olive oil and more balsamic vinegar.

Place onto a baking sheet and bake on the middle rack for 12-15 minutes.

Remove from the oven. Serve hot with bread and crackers.
